On May 15, 2008, Steyr Motors will unveil its new Hybrid Propulsion System at a press conference in San Francisco, California. The new technology will be featured in a vessel manufactured by Frauscher Boats of Austria, and the world will get its first look at the performance and efficiency of this unprecedented new system. The event will begin with a press conference and VIP sea trials at the Saint Francis Yachting Center on the 15th, and conclude with a public unveiling at Ghirardhelli Sqare on May 17th.
This is starting out as a busy year for Horizon East Diesel! Our boat show schedule seems to grow every year, and 2008 is no exception. We kick the 2008 schedule off at the C-PORT Conference, which is held from February 1-3 in Amelia Island, Florida. Once this show is over, we immediately head for New Jersey to attend the Atlantic City International Power Boat Show. This show is held February 6-10 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, and you can see us in Hall D, booth 736.
Less than a week later, you'll find us all at the Miami International Boat Show, which runs February 14-18. We will be located inside the Miami Beach Convention Center in booth 1965. As always, factory representatives from Steyr Motors will accompany us in Miami to help facilitate the growing interest in these amazing engines. Following the Miami show, Horizon East Diesel will gear up for the Palm Beach Boat show in Palm Beach, Florida. This event takes place March 27-30, and we will be located inside the main tent in booth 596.
We wrap up the Spring 2008 schedule with the Jacksonville International Boat Show, which will be held at the Metropolitan Park and Marina in Jacksonville, FLorida on April 18-20. Don't miss the fun! We look forward to meeting you at the shows!
Horizon East Diesel, Inc., along with representatives from Steyr Motors and Steyr Motors North America, will attend the IBEX, Ft. Lauderdale and Annapolis shows in October 2007. The IBEX runs from 10 to 12 October at the Miami Beach Convention Center (booth 1016), and the United States Boat Show (Annapolis) is held from 11 to 14 October at the Annapolis City Dock (booth D52). The Ft. Lauderdale show is scheduled for 25-29 October at the Broward County Convention Center (we're in the tent at the entrance of convention center). In order to offer its dealers and customers a more complete package of high-quality marine components, Horizon East Diesel, Inc. has added significantly to its growing product line. Among these new products are marine wiring components, air conditioners, heaters, control systems, hose/cable storage systems, fuel filtration systems, oil change systems, marine batteries, trim tabs and windlasses. In an effort to increase support and streamline operations in the U.S., Steyr has launched Steyr Motors North America, a subsidiary centrally located in Franksville, Wisconsin. Russell Polansky has been named President of this new organization and will direct marketing activities and OEM support operations.
Steyr Motors and its North American distributors will attend the 2006 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, which will take place October 26-30. Steyr will be located in booth number 3088 on the third floor of the Convention Center. Also, Steyr Motors will have two boats on display, both located on Dock D in the Las Olas Marina.
In order to better service the northeastern area of its territory, Horizon East Diesel, Inc. has hired Jon Scott to serve as sales representative from New Jersey to Virginia. Mr. Scott has years of experience in the marine industry and has been involved in Steyr Motors operations in the past. He has already proven to be an extremely effective addition to the Horizon East sales staff, and will no doubt bring a new level of high-quality support to his sales territory.
